My Journey
Born with big eyes and infinite love for anything thrilling, Hamzah started telling stories before he could walk. His nation-hoping upbringing made him wildly imaginative and annoyingly inquisitive. Life took him from the blazing heat of the Saudi desert to the frozen lands of Chiberia (Chicago).
It might not be apparent, but Hamzah studied mechanical engineering before getting sick of calculating the “drag coefficient” of spinning fans and switching to animation school. He took out his frustration learning the art of VFX and was soon blowing people's minds with his stylized storytelling. He finished his MFA in writing and directing at DePaul University.

In 2010, Hamzah launched Chicago-based Emmy Award-winning production house Digital Hydra with his creative partner Patrick Wimp. Their humble two-man shop was quickly recognized for its captivating narratives and slick cinematic style and got busy making commercials for the likes of Nike, Facebook, and Mcdonald's. Along with overseeing his company, Hamzah managed to direct smash-hit music videos and TV shows.
One of Hamzah's main goals in life is to bridge cultures and clear misconceptions through film. He returned home to film an IMAX movie celebrating his motherland, culture, and people. The movie was shot on beautiful 70mm celluloid and screened worldwide. It was even seen by King Charles... Yes, he came to our premiere and invited us to his Palace in London.
